I was on Fais in 1974 and finished building the school on the Sea Bed team would like to hear from someone

About 300 people live on Fais, a 0.75 sq. mi coral island in the central pacific nation of the Federated States of Micronesia. Men on Fais Island rely on their fishing skills to keep their families alive. For these boys, years removed from such responsibilities, attacking the sea is an exhilarating challenge and an early afternoon pastime.

Their fishing rods are made of carved bamboo, and their lines and hooks are imports. They are leftover treasures from their fathers and uncles.
