Day 76 v2: Buggy fever

BRAZIL | Tuesday, 12 April 2016 | Views [404]

Hired a rainbow buggy today and explored picturesque highs and lows Buzios has to offer. Geriba, the famous surf beach is a stunner. Every beach is beautiful but the water here is crystal clear. The mountains surrounding the beaches are a rock containing quartz veins with gold glitter, so the sand on the beach sparkles gold! And because the water here is so clear you swim in big golden flakes. Its like a boat full of glitter sunk out at sea and the flakes washed ashore.

At the end of the day Mike got stung by a massive wasp on his foot. He took it really well and only complained a little. I took over driving duties on the way home. We had a parking space behind Myrians house that was up a super steep hill. We only just made it up to the top in the buggy. Revving all the way in 1st gear!

Checked out Chez Michou Creperie and enjoyed a savoury and sweet crepe each...the dessert ones where amaze-balls: choc, banana, ice cream and strawberry and whipped cream (and they weren't shy with the cream)...we carefully planned it so we spent all the money we had on us hehehee
