Manuel made us a tasty breakfast and suggested he take us of a tour around his town. It's always great having a local show you round...he lives in Santiago so we walked a long way around the main bits of town. We saw the Sun God waterfall, where we sat annd chatted about Peruvian myths and superstitions, Plaza Mayor (just tell the numerous people selling paintings that you already bought one), Helarte icecream - delish to the max! The local food market...he wasn't wrong, we were pretty much the only gringos there. They were selling things out on the street and inside the big market area. We got some peruvian sweets, biscuits and colourful easter goodies. POD shows Manuel and Mike overlooking old town - where Manuel is certain he saw a UFO...in a pub....after drinking alot..haha. He really is great, he took us around all day like our personal tour guide. I needed an arvo nap, then we checked out Green Point a pretty nice vegan place.
