When travelling by bus in Cuba be sure to buy your tickets 1 or 2 days in advance. Took us 5 hours from
Havana to Trinidad, where we met Lewis (Julio's cousin?) who took us to Charbela and Andres casa. Dont
always asume you'll be put in the casa you requested - they accommodate you somewhere that's free. But
we lucked out because although Charbela loved to talk and was a little intense, it was an old 500 year old
house with our own brand new self-contained unit on the roof. Reminded me so much of great nan's place.
Plus Charbela's breakfasts are MASSIVE! like Julios, we had bread, fruit, omlettes, cake, juice, coffee, tea.
We are now obsessed with guava juice as a result.
