Said pur goodbyes to Alba, Eddy and Oscar. Walked straight onto a chicken bus heading for Rivas...took the long way around but it was entertaining with music blaring, rocky dusty roads and school kids getting on and off. Transferred to Managua bus as Rivas - just managed to squeeze on but then we found out they squeeze more on and locals get on selling food and drink. They pass money down, then the change, then the item. We enjoyed a fried pastry with jam inside. Walked 10km in hot Managua, the Elissa and Mike way But we worked well as a team, even walking right passed 2 guys having a fist fight, and finally got to the hotel. Highlight was taxi guy: even though he was at the side of the road, hood popped, filling his radiator with water, clearly broken down he still yelled "taxi, taxi!?" In the hope of getting our business.
