Went on a beach adventure with Oshop and school crew.
They took us to 2 private beaches: Escamequita and Escameca.
I forgot how much fun bodyboarding is! I'm getting one when
we're home. Got a few waves on the surfboard too. They included
dinner (fish and veggies, cooked in foil pockets in the fire) on the
beach, so our day was a lot of fun. When it came to go home we
forgot how islanders concept of time is different to ours eg. 10mins
really means 1 hour and 30 mins actually means 2 hours. So we
kept poor Evan and Emma waiting all night while we braved a sketchy
beach shuttle back to the apartment. They managed to fit 19 people,
2 eskys, an amp and 6 surfboards in a dual-cab ute...I still don't
know how we got up the hills on the half an hour dirt track road.
Good day out though - a real unique Nica experience. POD is Mike
catching a wave.
