Off to the world of Yosemite National Park. Amazed by El Capitan, Cathedral Range and the Half Dome. Visibility was quite poor due to low cloud cover, so we didn't see them in all their glory. We did hike for 4 hours though, on Yosemite Falls trail. It took 3 hours up a VERY steEp incline, over difficult boulder terrain. On our way up we gasped at the spectacular lower falls, surging down the sheer, grey rock face. And at the very top Mike touched the chilly waters of the upper falls, where the water gathered in 2 large pools, before spilling over to form the lower falls. We did some down hill trail running, so it only took us an hour to reach the bottom.
