In the basement lie the remains of a labyrinthine men's room. Snaking through an uncomfortable hallway, small rooms reveal themselves: a wide and open wash room, a cluster of narrow shower stalls, an elevated alcove full of urinals, a row of toilets with marble dividers. In the former steam room, a door from a public telephone booth -- a relic from a bygone era -- sits forgotten while chunks of ceiling plaster fall and gather on the tile floor.
