Hello!
My name is Emma, I am twenty four years old, and I am about to embark on a unpredictable adventure overseas....alongside Andrew, my wild and wacky boyfriend!
The most important things to me include spending time with my friends and family, travelling to new places, meeting people, trying new foods, drinking good wine and dancing to daggy 80's music.
I am not really sure what I am hoping to achieve from a "year" or "6 months" or however long we are away? It just feels right. I definitely want to see as much of the world as I can. In the past few years I have travelled to many countries including Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Samoa, England, France, Italy, Germany etc and I can explain no greater feeling of freedom and liberation than when I was traveling.
I have a strong interest in working with disadvantaged children and families from underdeveloped communities, and I am looking forward to doing lots of volunteer work while overseas.
Our plan is this....6 months in South America. 6 months in Europe.
I don't speak a word of Spanish. This could be interesting :)
