My name is Emily, I am twenty-three and I am an American living in Australia. Those are the details you find out on a resume, but if you met me in person, you would instantly learn so much more.

First, I love to travel. A close second would be that my camera is almost always glued to my hands.

Traveling is by far my biggest passion in life. Thailand was my first big adventure and a place that I continue to return to. Seeing that most Americans don't make it over to Asia much, it seemed like largely untrodden territory. It didn't take long ago to realize I had found a home.

Photography is another vital element of my life, significantly because it lets me bring my travels back home. My favorite post-trip activity is setting up my laptop in the kitchen in front of my family and playing a slideshow of all my favorite shots.

From this experience, I hope to learn how to really utilize my camera to bring even more depth and purpose to my photographs. I'm getting to the point in life where I have to figure out what I want to do. All I can muster up is "travel and photograph," but I don't know how to make that happen. This is my shot to learn from the best! (Pun intended!)
