My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

I am a Teacher of English and a Computer technician, Presently I am an Undergraduate majoring English Literature and Journalism in my 2nd year. I have only traveled to India 2 times, but I do have a passion for travel and photography too, with that I am good in Video Editing too.

One day I would Like to be photo Journalist and travel around the world.

The photos I upload here are taken during my travels mostly around Sri Lanka and in India. Which will show the culture and the way of living of the people in these two countries through my camera lens.

As an animal lover and strong supporter of anti- whaling campaign, I hope this scholarship will give me great opportunity to learn a lot about South Africa and the animals in their natural habitat which I always saw so passionately on Net Geo Wild channel. Further it will help me to understand the African community and the re-emerging South African society after the Apartheid.

I hail from a country which has so many restrictions in traveling abroad with visa regulations from other countries. Which hinders my passion for traveling and photographing the community around the world and share my experience and learn from them too.

This will be a great chance to move away from my own community and be a part of a different society and with well known professionals in the field.

I am an amateur in this field so I highly expect this will provide me the breaking point for my passion to be a photo- Journalist and share the wonderful experience with the world.
