    We finish off our tour of Thailand with a trip to the party capital, Koh Phagnan. Each month this island comes alive, with thousands flocking in their droves to attend an epic party night. This picture nevertheless, depicts the simple and idyllic life for those who want to relax and enjoy some time out. This picture for me shows romance, its shows playfulness and it shows simplicity. Thailand is not rich financially but it is richer in culture , beauty and tranquility, more so that anywhere I have visited. by: elayne Views[113] Moving away from the city, Thailand is also famed for its islands and its ideal location for avid divers. Koh Toa is one of the smaller island, but it has a big personality and reputation for the diving community. This picture was taken around 7 am and you can seen that all is peaceful with the world, with little activity around. This is more like a holiday brochure scene and for me its a striking contrast to city life. It allows for a time of reflection of daydreaming. Thailand has something to offer everyone. by: elayne Views[142] Chiang Mai is considered to be Thailand's second capital. It certainly does not disappoint in terms of beauty and culture. We have already seen that nature is being preserved as best as it can be, but what about the Buddhist culture. Well it is in its abundance as you walk around the city. The temples are intermingled amongst the modern day shops and cafes. The fantastic thing is that modern life does little to detract away from the ostentatiousness of the temples. This is particularly the case when you have a background of a pure blue sky, which serve only to complement the colours, the details and the authenticity of hard work and labour for a religion and a way of life. by: elayne Views[136] We head north of Thailand to Chiang Mai where we become engrossed in the determination and tenacity of one woman by the name of Lek. She has worked tirelessly to help old and maimed elephants have a place where there can be safe from the tourist trade and poachers alike. The Elephant Nature Park is helped run by volunteers from all walks of life, who wish makes dreams become a reality. Stroking,feeding or simply observing these beautiful beasts can be done at any time and from any distance. It becomes second nature, as much as having a household pet. This picture shows one of the older females who has been sustained back and hip injuries through the activity known as forced pregnancy. When elephants are no longer needed for tree logging (which has since ceased in Thailand), other uses are found for them. Breeding is one such option. This elephant now has the luxury of living out her remaining years without fear. by: elayne Views[152] I visited Thailand in October 2012, to see the wonders of its culture. It is a culture that has formulated itself over the years to adapt the the growing needs and desire of the tourists. One such thing is the animal sanctuaries, where humans can get up close and personal with 'wild' animals. The Tiger Temple is located approximately 2.5 hours south east from Bangkok. This scene captivated me. We witness the strength on the tiger in its sheer size and muscles, but in contrast we see a fragility too, it when it feeds from a bottle. The tiger's goat and the colour of the monks clothing work in unison to ensure focus is on them in this scene. It is quiet simply a view of nature being nurtured. by: elayne Views[164]
