Queenstown and Lake Wanaka

NEW ZEALAND | Sunday, 8 February 2015 | Views [270]

Kay and I had a leisurely morning and picked up El Cheapo from the airport, then headed via Cromwell to Wanaka for the afternoon.  We stopped at one of the many fruit farms and picked up a bag of cherries and some juice for the journey.

We spent a few hours in Puzzling World, enjoying the optical illusion and getting lost in the maze!

Afterwards I had a swim in the lake, out to the platform and back.

We drove back over the Crown range, past Cardrona. The night was spent at Shotover Lodge, just outside Queenstown, on the road to Coronet Peak and Arrowtown.

Luxury for me, a private room with ensuite!

Dinner was a yummy lamb bhuna takeaway from Bombay Palace in Queenstown. Happy days!
