It is common in China for people not to want to leave their soon to be demolished house. This old lady is still living in it. The Chinese character for Demolition is painted on the walls. The urban growth is so high that old must make space for the new despite the protests. Such protests are ignored on behalf that the benefits of the mass are more important than the individual.
