My name is Dustin Kerscthien from Manitoba, Canada. I studied science in College and graduated with a degree in Chemical and Bio-sciences and worked for 7 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Recently I quite working, sold my house and all my belongings to travel the world for a few years and photograph. I particularly like to photograph festivals, nature, landscapes and people. Through this scholarship I hope to gain critical hands on experience for field photography as I would love to continue to travel and photograph the world. I have a grand willingness to learn and recently took a day trip with a pro photographer through Istanbul, Turkey, it was a great experience. I am contributing to the field of photography currently by finding the golden angles and special moments in time when a photograph is possible and taking it. I would love to win this scholarship as travel photography seems to be my niche. I love to travel, meet new people, experience new cultures, foods, landscapes and languages. Most of my goal for this trek is to inspire others to get out and experience the world as I have. I take pictures to document this challenge I have accepted.
