My Scholarship entry - A backyard paradise

The illusive Little Tern; an endangered and now protected species. As these birds are strongly migratory I was lucky to catch some on their travels. Meeting Matthew and Jessica that morning, I learned that the numbers of Terns have been diminishing for years until the Tweed Shire Council made a conscience effort to alert people to the species. Now signage is placed at the entrance to the beach outlining the plight of the Little Tern and their story.
