So on Jan 30th we got up at 5am to go watch the sunrise over Angkor wat. It could not have been a better way to start my day. It was simply breathtaking. The runes here are indescribable. I can not put into words how detailed and intricate the stones are. We walked around the temples all day pretty much each keeping to ourselves, which was very spiritual time for me. As I was walking around I went to see this huge Buddha and two of the female monks sat me down and blessed me while putting a blessing string on my arm. The rest of the day was so peaceful and surreal for me. We ended it with watching the sunset over Angkor. It could not have been a more perfect way to spend my birthday here in Cambodia.
