Cycling around Trondheim

NORWAY | Wednesday, 21 April 2010 | Views [986]

After 2 weeks of absolute awesomeness of parties, get-togethers and grillings, I finally packed everything I needed to, in order to travel to Trondheim from Kvitfjell. Kvitfjell has been a great experience in my life, but in a way, I am glad to be on the move again. Meet new people, practice more languages, experience new exciting things. I will miss my friends, but I know, like most good friends, when we meet again, it would be like we just saw each other yesterday.

So now I am in Trondheim, arriving on 19th April. Because I have another cycle journey coming up, I decided to put my bike together and take it out on the road to test it out. I was in the garage fixing my bike, when Reidar came in and helped me with light, the tyres and advice on the pedals. Then I packed and hit the ashvalt, or whatever it is called. There are a few problems with the gears, tyres and breaks, that over the next week I will iron out.

42km is what I cycled to test my bike. Basically it was a giant loop from Rinvål to Flakk, following the Fjord to Trondheim Sentrum and back again. The road back was nothing but uphill, and at this point, I ran out of food, so I stopped by COOP to buy extra food to eat and for today, when I cycle again.

When I arrived home, Hanne made dinner and also a blueberry pie, which would be enjoyed at a "girls night" watching Privat Practice and Desperate Housewives while eating a salad of chicken, mozeralla, red onion, lettuce, tomato and balsamic viniger. The blue berry pie was complimented with Vanilla Icecream and Vanilla Custard...  Mmmmmm, so much food for a nice day cycling.
