Cathedral in downtown

The City of Cordoba has put alot of effort in the last six months in improving the downtown area of Cordoba.  It was a disaster to say the least, probably one of the ugliest downtowns in Argentina according to everyone who lives here.  They have scraped and re-painted all of the churches in downtown and remodeled the principal plaza area called Plaza San Martin.  It looks so much better now with ¨green areas¨ and benches to sit on and a well-scrubbed San Martin statue.  All the pigeons love to sit on his head and release their droppings on his face. Now that´s not the way to treat a General!

In my opinion, the Cathedral turned out the best, and the evening I was there taking the picture, there were lots of people oohing and aahing at how beautiful it was.  Good Job Cordoba, now if you could just teach the Cordobes citizens not to throw garbage on the ground, I would actually recommend Cordoba as a tourist area...
