I read in the local paper that a music group that I really like, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, were coming to Cordoba in concert. They are starting their tour soon in Mexico City and will be in Argentina in December. The concert will be on Saturday, December 6, so I have a long time to find ¨someone¨ to attend the concert with me (a male companion would be nice, smile smile). So being the silly American that I am, they went on sale at 10 a.m. on Tuesday morning so I get up early and go into downtown because I think there is going to be a line. I get there and there isn´t one person in line, just me! So according to the stadium floor plan I got some good tickets, YEAH. Walter told me that here nobody wants to buy concert tickets so far in advance because they are thinking that it will be cancelled, that some political thing might happen, a demonstration, or a strike, etc. So most people buy tickets maybe 20 days before the concert. Well, hopefully that doesn´t happen and my PREplanning will pay off.
Also on the same day, after making my ticket purchase I decided to look for some leather boots, since Argentina is famous for its leather. Its the end of the winter season here so everything is on sale. I would say that shoe stores make up about half of all the stores here. They must all have shoe fetishes in Cordoba!! When I saw these boots, I knew they were the ones. They are two toned in black leather. They are were a good buy because they are real leather outside, inside, and the sole. They were $120 dollars. However, the heel is too high so I will have a shoemaker cut it for me so I´m not so tall when I wear them. What do you think?
