Hampi

INDIA | Friday, 20 January 2006 | Views [530]

Discovering Hampi is like discovering life on the moon. There are so many temples here but most are in ruins and not very impressive but the main temple at the bazar is very impressive. I like the look at the main temple at sunset from a rooftop bar when the monkets climb to the roof to sleep for the night. The boulders here are massive and also very impressive, they say that if rocks represented happiness then hampi would be heaven.

The tourists here are more relaxed and friendly than in Goa, although a younger crowd and so I have less in common. I am staying in a hostel and my room costs just over 2 pounds a night, i think I am beig overcharged but the bed is comfortable and the room secure so it's fine.
