The road to Rohtang Pass is filled with beautiful mountains and cascading waterfalls. One would never guess that Rohtang means 'pile of corpses' as many people died here while trying to cross the pass.

The journey begins in Manali, where apples and weed are abundant. The beautiful view of the mountains and the sweet charis of Manali compels people to stay here indefinitely.

At some point, the landscape changes and you find yourself in a high altitude desert that resembles Mars. And, aside from the occasional bus or truck or fellow motorbike rider, you are left alone to absorb and form an intimate connection with something so powerful.
