    On this road, one must not only be brave, but patient as well. Landslides may block the road for some time and it might take a while for the rubble to be cleared up. Views[487] This is what a traffic jam looks like on the Manali to Leh Highway. Views[407] At some point, the landscape changes and you find yourself in a high altitude desert that resembles Mars. And, aside from the occasional bus or truck or fellow motorbike rider, you are left alone to absorb and form an intimate connection with something so powerful.
