It's not goodbye, only see you later!

SINGAPORE | Sunday, 3 June 2007 | Views [472]

As I mentally prepare myself to move on from Singapore I feel a little down, saddened to be saying goodbye in fact.

I have certainly enjoyed my time here; enjoyed partying on my 30th birthday in style drinking Singapore Slings in Raffles Hotel and all in all I have appreciated experiencing a whole new different culture.

Singapore is a clean, wealthy, commercial island; you can buy anything you want here except it can be expensive and is in fact the most expensive country in Asia.

In my opinion Singapore is a great place to spend a long weekend; there are so many trendy bars, clubs and restaurants.

The two most enjoyed pastimes of a Singaporean are eating and shopping, so my kind of place! I couldn’t think of a better way to cure a hangover than with a shopping spree!

Apart from being friendly and generally nice people, trust me when I say Singaporeans have style. These girls know about fashion and are always dressed in the latest trends, their hair and makeup are always immaculately done and they always look good.

But what I really love about Singapore is the fantastic aromatic food, can’t get enough of it! The cultural mix of Chinese, Malay, Indian and European has created food not far short of amazing.

I am going to miss Singapore for certain and I hate saying goodbye but I will have to make a promise to myself to return one day, maybe for my 40th!

So I guess for now it’s not goodbye but only seeya later....see ya in 2017!
