Shadashiva, 46, is a fisherman in the village of Kodibengre, Udupi, Karnataka. He lives a happy, content life in a little hut with his wife, only son, and mother. The small family seemed as if they couldn't have been happier, it was a treat visiting their village.

Shubha, 41, is the wife of fisherman Shadashiva. Her job as his wife entails her to scale and clean the fish her husband brings back, as well as occasionally to accompany him on fishing trips. Shubha sells the rest of the fish that the family do not require for their personal needs to the rest of the Kodibengre folk.

This is the cozy, little home of the Shadashiva fishermen family in Kodibengre village, Udupi, Karnataka. Happily content with their livelihood, Shadashiva, Shubha (his wife), Shibanraj (his son), and Shubhalakshmi (his wife), live a humble life in the quiet beach-village of Kodibengre.
