A true "wet season" or "Season of colors" experience. Every single time I go back to the tropical town of Darwin, in the Northern part of Australia, I feel like entering a different world. A world where life is still so different, where things are still so much more relaxed, where only 2 seasons really rule

About dieterberghmans

A big passion for adventure, very keen to explore the world and an enormeous admiration for the world and landscpaes we live in, are only a few of the many reasons why I decided to move away from my home country at a very young age and really live rather then being lived by others.

It is my travels that eventually made me permanently move from Belgium to Australia.

Australia, a country that has touched me, a country that has made me feel home and a country that has made me realise that I can really be myself and get the best out of myself.

So 8 years on now here in Australia and with a degree in Nursing, I have been working my way around helping and nursing others, which I have enjoyed and which has inspired me for many years.

But on the sidelines, I have had an even bigger passion for photography.  A passion that has grown and has develloped over the years.

At first it was a way of expressing to friends and family back home on why I loved to travel and explore all the new places. Also why I have this admiration for the places of the world and the landscapes that we live in.

But over time, the meaning of telling my stories or expressing myself  has gone a lot further then my family and friends.  It has become so much more powerful this medium, in my own personal expression, that I started to include many more people.  And taking many more people on a journey by capturing what we see and experience is exactly what I love.

No matter where we go or what we do, but many more stories are to be told, even in our own back yards.

So my dream is to be able to become a lot more professional within my photography and use my experience untill today, with the many more experiences to come and get out there and take all of you on a journey of captured moments for years to come!
