I have been in town just on 24hrs now and I think I’m a little bit in love with this city. I love a place where bicycles dominate, flowers are plentiful and waiters sing a happy tune while clearing your table. I spent last night with two Russians, two Dutch, one German, one Armenian and an American. We hit three bars, drank … a lot and shared many laughs. I’ve seen two dogs (without owners) wait patiently at a pedestrian crossing while three bicycles passed by and I saw a Picasso sculpture standing unpretentiously in a park while a game of soccer took place around it. No doubt I’ve been very lucky with the weather and very fortunate to be staying in such a beautiful location with a wonderful host but from my experience so far I can say that Amsterdam is definitely a city where I could happily spend much time
