In Ireland today, the land of Guinness, Shamrocks and Leprechauns - as every tourist attraction will remind you! I'm in Cork to be precise, which is, so I'm told by locals, the 'real' capital of Ireland. The flight over was good. We were a little late to take off, a little late to land and I was a little late to reach the bus station but fortunately my Irish host was there to meet me!
It was a predictable Irish day; rainy and cold, but I loved it. I wouldn't want to have spent too much time walking around in it thpough.
Lismore, a heritage city, is the closest town to where I'm actually staying with my host and it is what I perceive to be a 'typical'' Irish town; a river, a few catherdrals and the obligitory castle ... or two!
