Becky liked the bubblegum-pink taxis! But some are orange, green, or red. Or bright blue. Or yellow and green!
Took boat shuttle down to historic Wat Pho temple; yesterday was a special day and no tourists were allowed in until noon, so a local man helped us negotiate a tuk-tuk and we had a tour to other temples that are only open at this time of year. Climbed the Golden Mount for a great view over Bangkok, and then saw the lucky buddha. Afterwards we were taken shopping (and we did actually buy something--custom made shirts that were delivered to the hotel in the evening), and souvenirs.
Then we discovered that the train tickets for the overnight train south on Sunday night were sold out, so now we are looking for alternatives. Meanwhile, we are leaving this morning for Isaan province and Khmer ruins.
