We made it to Thailand! Three flights, all on time, a long transit in London but that way Becky could enjoy listening to all of the "strange" accents! Took the Airport Express shuttle into town last night from the airport. Did hit a traffic jam, did find that the air conditioning on the bus was too much...and did find our way from the hotel to Khao San Road, the heart of touristic Bangkok. Ate a little at a sidewalk restaurant (nothing too adventurous yet, just pad thai and a broccoli/rice dish) along with a Thai beer (Chang) and Lipton iced tea for Becky. Mind you, the iced tea costs about 25 euro-cents a bottle. Found our way back to hotel, no problem, although we basically walked through a couple of people's homes!
Up 'way early (Becky said it was 7 a.m. and it was only 6!) well, that way we will actually be on our way early, too, which is good because Becky's heat tolerance is low, and the temperature will be high!
Ya llegamos, pero como lo he escrito todo en ingles y no hay tildes, no voy a escribir mucho mas en espanol. Todo bien de momento--vuelos, comida, hotel...temperatura...jejejeje... A ver si vemos unos templos esta manana. Intentaremos coger el bus-barco!
