Breathless in Cusco

Finally made it to Cusco after an eventful couple of days in Santiago airport and then overnight in ¨chaotic¨lima. Arriving there was something of a mind spin. thankfully some fancy footwork from Vanessa meant we had somewhere to stay. this involved pushing to teh front of teh que of irate Chileans, at Santiago aiport(after 8 hour delay ) with a written note ( in extremely bad spanish) asking the ground staff to ring a hostal in Lima.

It is a real pleasure to know we can hang out here on and off for 3 weeks - Spanish lessons, Macchu Picchu, and Manu National Park- how is work going for everyone?

Cusco is fab and will be even better when we can get over the dizzy altitude feeling ( i bet you all feel really sorry for us)

Off to eat some guinea pig.

guys! Got your birthday card ... on my birthday! So thank you so much for thinking of me and for taking the time to buy, write, and send the thing in your busy London schedule! Really enjoyed our day / night together although it took me a while to recover from it. Good luck with the spanish lessons - and remember - just open your mouth and talk - mistakes are easily made and more easily forgiven! love mx
