Turned and saw this scene as I was leaving the beach. This image for me summarized life in Hawaii. Full of life in different forms, locals, tourists, sun and sea. The surfer staring out at the waves made me want to leave everything behind and stay right there.

Walking along the coast of Kona in Hawaii I spotted little black crabs. I was pleasantly surprised to find this bright red husk of a crab, that shed its shell, still clinging to the lava rocks.

Footprints in the Sand. Walking the beach in Lahaina I got interested in the coulours, contrast and textures of the sand. It was not your usual white sand beach. A group of local girls walked past and I snapped a shot of their footprints as a wave washed them away.
