So a funny thing happened on the way to Argentina... Apparently British Airways, who are just quietly my new favourite airline, like to properly overbook their flights. In a nutshell this means they offer people like me the opportunity to join their 'volunteer scheme' to bump yourself off the plane and into a hotel with free meals...with a sweetener of 600 EUROS. Now before you get on to XE to work out how much that is in 'your' money I'll do it for you... $1000 AUS / $900 CAN / £500... I'm pretty pleased with that and now I'll definitely be taking that flight to Patagonia which I was debating in my head about doing because of the $. Not bad for a night's work. Did I mention I'm pretty pleased with British Airways? Perhaps I'll try again tonight and become a professional 'volunteer schemer'! No, really I'm really looking forward to getting to Buenos Aires and checking out the city I have heard so many great things about.. I've had an awesome time in London and it's so great to see so many of my friends in really happy places in their lives. Only shame has been that so many people are out of town this weekend. Guess I'll just have to come back! So until Buenos Aires... here's to life xx
