One of the closest beaches to my home, this photo represents the dynamic and ever changing characteristic of beaches and dunes, and that no part of the landscape is ever the same over time.

This is a photo from a climb above the coast, and it symbolises the human alteration of the environment, with the introduced pine forests and grasses for farmland composing an otherwise natural-looking scene.

I was standing alone on the beach waiting for this sunset shot, and a lone bird (visible in the small photo as a tiny black line) flew into my frame directly opposite. This was a special moment as I felt we were almost one in the same, and it took away the feeling of solitude that comes with travelling alone.
