    Men wearing red hats mean they’re married. Those with coloured hats are considered to be important or old people. At the party they drink beer and PURE sugar cane alcohol. Of course they end up completely drunk and I was told it's pretty common to see them sleeping all over the fields, straight under the sunlight. The husband and wife must remain sitting while everyone celebrates. They don't use invitations, all the people in the island (about 2.200) must go to the wedding party.
