Chaos on the highway... and im still in the land of paved roads!

UNITED KINGDOM | Monday, 17 March 2008 | Views [385]

i just wrote a long note on here and it disappeared and i feel like typing is too loud in the quiet apartment i am in and since i am but a couchsurfer i will not peck the board all over again.

i just want to say that sometimes there are situations that you just have to share with people because you know they will feel your pain, or sympatheise, or it will strike a feeling of acknoledgement from somewhere within, and today was one of those times.

after a gruesome day of travel. i got on th ebus from manch at 845 and didnt get in until 4pm... the bus driver had never been to london before and wasnt supposed to do the whole drive, the highway were closed and nobody told him, and he hit a porsche and almost got in a fight. he was very kind and good natured about it and i did feel bad for him, although he was awful at reading the signs once it came down to it. it was became a group effort and everybody was directing him after we did a whole bunch of circles. I was supposed to get in at 130. then i had to carry my huge backpack on the tube which was hot and i had all my layers on and couldnt take the bag off for fear i wouldnt be able to get it back on... but

theres always a rainbow, as you can see in my pictures, and i was greeted by a great apartment, a friendly face, and a yummy dinner. now for a day of exploring london rain or shine!
