Belfast, chasing after the past

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Belfast, Short Strend.
Short Strend is a Catholic enclave in East Belfast, surrounded by the mainly Protestant and unionist neighborhood, from which it is separated by the so called peacewall, a metal barrier 6-7 meters high. Even though many years have passed since the 'Troubles' there objects are thrown from each side to others and sometimes there are aggressions.
This was a calm alley. Nobody was around but I got the feeling that something that happened and might happen again.
