Belfast, chasing after the past

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Belfast, Short Strend.
Short Strend is a Catholic enclave in East Belfast, surrounded by the mainly Protestant and unionist neighborhood, from which it is separated by the so called peacewall, a metal barrier 6-7 meters high. Even though many years have passed since the 'Troubles' there objects are thrown from each side to others and sometimes there are aggressions.
What drove my attention was the connection between the blue eyes of the doll on the peacewall and the blue container. A second later I noticed the barbed wire and the profile of a distant bird.
