I have finally got my route sorted out for my One World RTW ticket. It is a combination of places I want to go to and places that have come up initially as connections. When using the planning tool, when a connection came up in the results, in some cases, I just extended my stay there by a few days.
The route is:

Japan ( 2 Weeks )
Sydney ( 3 Days )
New Zealand ( 2 Weeks )
Hawaii ( 10 Days )
LA ( 3 Days )
Buenos Aires ( 5 Days )
Patagonia ( 2 Weeks )
Back in the UK a few days before Christmas.
