After visiting Christ I returned to the hostel to see Liz and Cat, Two English girls I have been hanging out with, off as they are going on a tour today for the next 17 days and then home. After a couple of drinks we said goodbye.
For the rest of the day I sorted out things that are very boring but need doing every now and then. Even on a Round-the-World trip you have to sort shit out.
In the evening I chilled in the hostel and saved some money, Rio is pricey. I popped out to try Acai, This is a berry grown in the Amazon and is very good for you, it is also quite nice so result on that one.
The following day was spent on Ipanema Beach, seriously traveling is hard. After a couple of hours Alex, a guy in my room from Sao Paulo, came and found me and we met up with a couple of German guys (Henry and Niko) chatting drinking and generally having a laugh on the beach.
That evening we were all going to the Maracanna Stadium (Wembely)to watch Vasco V Fluminense. The result was 2-2 and the game was pretty good however the atmosphere was the best part. It was intense but in a non-violent way. The fans were singing back and forth between the teams and waving flags/ banners/ balloons etc it was really good.
The next day was spent the same as the previous one apart from Alex had gone so it was just me and the German guys on the beach. In the evening we chilled in the hostel drinking and chatting with the other guests.
Tomorrow I am transferring from Rio, SOB :( , to Ilha Grande.
