After a tearfull farewell with my parents the trip began.
No sooner had i left my parents had I bumped in to Corrine Bailey-Rae. She was getting on the flight next to mine going to Barcalona.
I however was on my way to Madrid. The only problem was that we found on once onboard that the French (Selfish Fuc*ers) Air Traffic Control had decided to go on strike causing us an hour delay. This caused me and a few others to miss our connecting flight to Lima. Everything turned out ok as the nice man from Iberia put us on to a flight only 30mins later which was smooth as a whistle. After watching 30mins of "Date Night" I decided to go to sleep. The chair next to me was free so I mad myself a bed. Lovely jubley.
Once I arrived in Lima and passed through Passport Control i met up with some other English people that were on my plane and got a Taxi to the centre. We managed to get a bargain and the driver dropped me off right next to my hostel purely by accident. After dropping my Bag off Me, Han, Mike and Ivan went for some food, 2x Croissants with a toffe sauce in them, which was really nice and dead cheap, 25p total.
I then left the others to find their hostel as it was quite a way away and headed back to mine. After a sleep i headed out to explore Lima and saw a marching display outside the presidents pallace. All vey fancy pants. Lima looks really nice if not a bit intimidating to start with.
I think i´ll end there. See you next time
