And they're off..... Who's up for a little trip....

Our last Egypt stop

UNITED KINGDOM | Sunday, 6 September 2009 | Views [394]

Today the group was off to visit the Al-Deir Al-Bahari Temple.

We were able to get a little snap happy...

Now check out the Egyptian inspired beard!

We then ventured to the valley of the kings where we were not allowed to take photos at all but where able to see the tombs of 3 great kings of Egypt.. The highlight of this trip however was our mode of transport to the valley.... By Donkey!...

Now these guys were amazing.. Dan's was not only the largest but the most attractive of the lot, I had the littlest but he was really cute and really fast... We spent the 1.5 hour journey racing one another which was great fun but not very comfortable... Two days later and my butt is still sore :(

On our last day we set off on horse and carriage to Karnak temple..

In the last 10 days we have seen more than our share of temples, although amazing, educational and interesting, we decided that we should get a little extra creative with the camera for you to enjoy!!!

Hilarious!

This place was huge - see if you can see me....

Our last night on tour is us catching our last Egyptian overnight train back to Cairo.

The next part of the trip is seeing us fly back to Europe were we are off to Poland to visit my family and simply chill out after 2.5 months of serious backpacking travel....
