As
the saying goes, when in Rome do as the Romans do, it seems that when
you are in Vietnam you do as the Vietnamese, so we did.... After
parting with a whooping 100,000 Dong ($6.50), we hired a scooter for
the day.
Now although scooters are a little dorky back home it seems
you arn't anyone until you are cruising around in one of these bad
boys. So once we were fitted out with our safety gear (a helmet each)
we joined our scooter gang of Dan, myself, Nick, Imbi and Sue. Our
first stop was marble mountain, it not only has a fantastic view
from the top but has buddist temples, buddas, caves and a thousand
steep steps to the top... It was beautiful.
The second stop was China
Beach for lunch and a swim. Our third stop was Hoi An Beach before we
headed back home.... It was a great afternoon of cruising around and
a well earned brake from walking...
