Today
we are heading to the Capital of Phenom Phen. Another 6 hour public
bus ride!!! OK, so , the journey was nothing to write about but at
our stop my goodness where to begin,,,, This time the bus was being
hassled by begging children, but not with things to sell, but with
live spiders climbing all over them for photo opportunities... i was
horrified and so scared to get off the bus but my bladder just
couldn't wait – these spiders were the size of your hand and all
over these kids... The stop sold the weirdest food – spiders,
crickets, almost any insect you could imagine and the locals love
it...
We
arrived in the capital and its just like Bangkok – busy, loud,
smelly and dirty.. The hotel is amazing.. At dinner Dan was
adventurous and decided to try the local delicacy of silk worm!!!
Yes, disgusting, but he did – nothing to boast about and I don't
think he will crave these back in Aus LOL...
