Difficult to photograph in the wild, the elusive Lungfish, Neoceratodus forsteri, captured my fascination as a kid.

The Endangered Conondale Spiny Crayfish, Euastacus hystricosus. The striking patterns of this juvenile will soon fade into a dark brown. Many of Queensland's isolated pockets of rainforest hide unique creatures and hidden gems.
