Two men are waiting for the beginning of the bullrunning. One that looks outwardly calm is reading morning newspaper telling about several yesterday runners were knocked down by furious bulls. // Every festive morning hundreds of people wearing traditional white clothes and red scarves gather on the old narrow street. All of them bring newspapers. To read and distract their minds form fear. And to hit fearlessly 12 bulls that will run with them to the bullring soon.

A sad man was attacked with truncheon by Zaldiko (one of the main festival’s characters usually running after children on the streets). Now he laughs reminding his childhood. //

Here you are lost in the mob and you’re in the bosom of your family at the same time. San Fermin never cares about age, gender or nationality. Here you can find the whole pallete of affection and chose what you wish.

The flow of life. //

Bullrunning (Encierro) makes torero from any ordinary man and sleepless paparazzi from any journalist (to get the best part of a fence photographers take places from 3 a.m. though run starts at 8 a.m.). Run lasts about 1-2 minutes only, but memories won’t easily be erased. No matter where you run – in front or behind. Exaltation overfills all the viewers and runners except the bulls. As for them it’s the death race (bulls run to the ring to be killed during the bullfight).
