With a scene reminiscent of an Antarctic landscape, the snow capped alps and heavily desaturated coloured vegetation bore a stillness that was deafening. The Lake Tekapo National Park avails itself to some incredible photographic opportunities.

The Church of the Good Shepherd at Lake Tekapo, New Zealand really does boast heavenly views. Built in 1935 this church was the first built in the McKenzie Basin. The church features an alter window which frames iconic mountain views.

Lake Tekapo National Park in winter really does take your breath away. It is like a scene from another world, with no sign of life at all. Just frozen brown vegetation which crunched underfoot and a thick mist that created an eerily surreal landscape.
