We got back to Lhasa yesterday afternoon. Two of our party..Steve and Elaine left today on the two day train journey back to Beijing. The first day we are told is the most interesting across the Tibetan Plateau. Today was the 60th anniversary of the peoples Republic of China. So there were marches in Beijing which we saw on TV and a bit of a 'holiday' here in Lhasa.
More on this later.
We stayed together the remaining 4 of us all day. Joe leaves tomorrow flying back to Beijing and us three girls and Jeff the tour operator leave the next day by train.
Lovely weather still and we can see snow on the mountains, cooler evenings now.
