After the first incident, anti-pipeline supporters have monitored the mountain 24/7. In this image, a protestor escorts Kinder Morgan employees out of the forest, where they were about to remove more trees.

Towards the end of August 2014, Kinder Morgan Energy illegally cut down 13 Red Alders in the Burnaby Mountain Conservation Area, in my hometown of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. They did this to drill a bore hole, so that they could do surveys to expand the Trans Mountain Pipeline, right through Burnaby Mountain. In this image, two Kinder Morgan employees are standing in the clearing as their company helicopter flies above.

Protestors constructed a camp beside the coordinates of a proposed bore hole site. In this image, Tsoh-thoht, an indigenous woman, plays the drums after she lit the sacred fire. The sacred fire would go on to burn for just over two weeks.
