Cocuy: A Quest For Snow Under The Tropics

With the first rays of the sun, I get out my tent after a miserable sleepless night. Breathing is very difficult, but the cold crawling into my bones makes me forget about it. I cleared the frost from the bag of my 4x5 camera, grabbed the tripod and walked away from the camp to see the dawn gently covering the ice crown near the a majestic rock called The Devil's Pulpit.
